If you think your organization may be a good fit for the AWP Community Integration program, call the number provided here or contact proposals.awp@gmail.com. For more information you may also want to go to www.augustawarriorproject.com/national.
You will be asked to write a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) describing your program and why you believe it could benefit by aligning with AWP Community Integration. On review, AWP Community Integration may elect to extend our Request For Proposals (RFP). Your response to this RFP will determine if you receive an award and its size. It is most important to read each section carefully and respond to all the questions asked. Assistance is offered at proposals.awp@gmail.com for those preparing proposals.
All deadlines must be met and incomplete proposals will not be considered.
Up to $500,000 per year, may be used for program support. Please send your Letter Of Inquiry to proposals.awp@gmail.com

My organization serves veterans, but not primarily. Would we be eligible?

Yes.
What factors determine the areas where this national model will be implemented?
There are several factors considered when making this determination. The three primary factors are the number of veterans in the area per the most recent Census; the presence of a collaborative Veteran community leadership; and, the availability of Veteran services.

Is this for start-up or existing agencies?
This grant opportunity is for both. Any agency who wishes to be the lead agency on Warrior care within that community may submit a Letter of Inquiry.
How many years does this RFP cover?
The term is for up to three years. Each year is renewable, depending on performance for prior year.
Other than funding, is there additional support?
Yes; The AWP National team can offer mentorship and practicable guidance in establishing Community Integration in your community. Furthermore, there is a separate RFP for agencies who provide direct services to Warriors. This is called the sub-grantee RFP. It is with the sub-grantees that the lead agency will coordinate linkages of Warriors to services.
Does the sub-grantee have to be a non-profit?
The sub-grantee must have a non-profit status as given by the IRS.
